ABOUT THE EMPLOYER

Our client provides retail agents industry-specific underwriting expertise, exclusive program access and wholesale solutions that are backed by a culture centered on customer service. The company started its wholesale broker operations in 2014. Partnering with insurance companies around the country, their goal is to make sure agents seeking specialized products have a one stop-shop to finding coverage for their clients.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Design, build, and maintain responsive front-end components for internal and external web-based applications

• Develop intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, scripting languages, and UI best practices (e.g., JavaScript

and TypeScript, React, HTML, Python)

• Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to retrieve, display, and submit data to backend systems

• Support the development and enhancement of internal operational tools, dashboards, and workflows

• Collaborate with backend engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective UI

solutions

• Contribute to ongoing platform improvements, including bug fixes, performance tuning, and feature enhancements

• Adhere to established development, testing, security, and deployment standards

• Create and maintain documentation for front-end logic, UI behavior, and API integrations

• Participate in code reviews – promoting code quality, consistency, and maintainability

• Identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, and operational efficiency across internal systems

• Coordinate with third-party vendors on integrations and front-end–related development efforts, as needed

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required

• 5+ years of related experience in front-end web development

• Experience building web applications using JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks

• Experience consuming APIs (REST/JSON) and handling data integration

• Ability to integrate API responses into front-end components and user workflows

• Basic understanding of backend systems and how front-end applications interact with APIs

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively

• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve existing skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks

ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS?

• Prior related work experience with insurance or underwriting systems; relevant certifications

preferred but not a must

4 hours of overlap with EST
