ABOUT THE EMPLOYER

It is a start-up disrupting the music industry with a platform that makes it easy for artists to collaborate with each other. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-Stack Developer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in both Python and TypeScript, with a proven track record of building web applications using RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Our full stack developers build our backend platform using Python on an AWS serverless architecture. They will also provide code for our web application and mobile app using React and React Native.
Our platform includes a wide array of technologies that the full stack developer will build and support.This includes media playback, notifications, chat, search, and oauth. It will be helpful if the developer is familiar with payment processing through Stripe, or similar service

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Develop and maintain web applications using TypeScript and Python
  • Write CloudFormation code to provision and manage AWS infrastructure
  • Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs and write code to consume those APIs
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code that follows best practices and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Integrate with third-party APIs, including payment processing platforms like Square or Stripe
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and security of the application
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python
  • Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and consuming them
  • Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS services
  • Familiarity with React and React Native
  • Knowledge of payment processing platforms such as Square or Stripe is a bonus
  • Experience with database technologies, especially MySQL
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS?

  • The team is US-based, so fluent English is essential
