We’re looking for a PHP developer (Crawler Fixer), the role within our development team, focused on maintaining and enhancing our data crawling capabilities. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with a foundational understanding of PHP or GoLang and HTML, who is eager to dive into the mechanics of web crawling and data extraction.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Monitor and troubleshoot our web crawlers to identify and resolve issues preventing data collection.
- Analyze and understand website structures to accurately fix pathing issues within our crawlers.
- Update and maintain crawler configurations to ensure optimal performance and data accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest in web technologies and crawling strategies to continuously improve our processes.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Basic knowledge of PHP or GoLang.
- Understanding of HTML and web page structures.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on troubleshooting tasks.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS?
- The team is US-based, so fluent English is essential
- Fully remote position, but you must be able to work at least 6-8 hours in US time zone
