ABOUT THE EMPLOYER

The client is building a mobile platform designed to help music artists connect and collaborate more easily. Their goal is to simplify the creative process for musicians by providing tools they personally wished they had when they were creating music. The company is small and dedicated, and they’re currently looking for a React Native engineer to help develop their mobile app.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • You’ll be an expert on our React Native codebase, responsible for building new features, squashing bugs, and ensuring a world-class user experience.

  • You’ll navigate the waters of the App Store and Play Store, managing the entire release process from TestFlight builds to production launches. No hand-holding required.

  • You’ll own the user authentication flow, powered by our AWS Cognito backend.

  • You’ll live and breathe our GraphQL API, working with the backend team to ensure our app gets the data it needs, efficiently and reliably.

  • You’ll work independently but communicate proactively, turning ideas into tangible features that empower artists worldwide.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • A sample of React Native apps you’ve published to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You know the submission and review process inside and out.

  • Deep knowledge of GraphQL and how to interact with complex schemas.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cognito for user identity management.

  • You’re not just a coder; you’re a product-minded engineer who thinks about the user and the business goals.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS?

Nice-to-Haves:

  • A deep love for music.

  • Experience setting up build and deployment automation (CI/CD).

  • You’ve worked with Figma designs and can translate them pixel-perfectly.
